If it its not Pyro bashing... its Sniper bashing... :) death to them both :)

Bosco had a good idea (i know i was :o 2) maybe have a none engie Friday as well... maybe work our way through the classes ??

A limit would be more of a laff for me. Krikke wouldn never shut up about it if the spots were already taken.

Krikke has it regarding the headshot... but then he's still a stat whore!!

Hey, I've had good ideas in the past as well, I think.....maybe....well maybe not :lol:

The reason I like the idea of a non engie night is I reckon maps like goldrush, gravelpit and especially avanti would be fantastic fun if there were no sentries. I have absolutely nothing against engies, though I never play it cos I find it really boring.

As for the sniper thing, again I have no problem with them. Its easy enough to avoid a bad sniper on the opposing team cos they rarely move position. If there are good snipers on the other team and they move around sensibly and kill you then fair play to them. The real annoyance, like Lazy said, is bad snipers on your team. Three snipers all hanging around the same spot trying to get easy kills. Fuck that!

I'm not sure how I feel about class limits. I don't really like the idea, except maybe on the night of a class update. Some players are very good at changing classes temporarily to help their team out in a particular situation, and I think it would be a shame if they couldn't do that.

I think the main reason that people hate spies and snipers is their kills seem cheap. Instant kill after you put in all that work to get somewhere, and you have to start all over again.
Just because I like to play spy doesn't mean I don't hate them too! I'm not turning this into a discussion about spies, just want to compare the amount of effort it takes getting a kill as one - let alone getting 3-4 kills like a sniper would. And spies can't run back into spawn! Points per minute as sniper will be much higher than as spy :D (unless you're being heavily attacked by the other team and they're not far from your spawn)

I'd love to see a night with no spies and no snipers, purely because I'd like to be able to have a game and concentrate on what's ahead of me, rather than what's behind me and what's a tiny blip of doom on the horizon.

Why do snipers have to go?
1/. They are a class in the game
2/. Snipers in real life dont rush in first they hide and conceal themselves
3/. in TF2 the sniper helps out a lot creating damage to players and stops 40+ attacks in maps such as dustbowl, push maps etc...
4/. If we ban snipers hen why not HWGuys who hold down shoot with a medic behind them? or engys who build a sentry gun and sit back? demomen who plant stickies and stay still?
5/. If it is about stats then change class or 'put up with it'?

6/. Stats are wrong anyway, we have n00bs who play once on the server becoming #1 when people play 50-60 hours and are down at #100 or so.


7/. Maybe re-calculate the way stats are done?

I am up for 'non x' night. non engy, non hw, non sniper like some have said maps like avanti or goldrush would be different.

I have NEVER seen pl_badwater basin completed, ever! on any server i have been on. Once the cart gets to the final point (down the hill into the big courtyard area) there are several SG's, sniper holes and demomen planting stickies it's almost impossible. If we get rid of engineers the map would be more balanced and completed.

Ban a class night would mean, perhaps, playing maps only biased towards an engineer/ hwguy etc... etc as avanti or dustbowl. Without sg's there'd be more skill using the beefy 1 on 1 combat maybe?



Or we could always limit classes to, say, 2 engineers, 2 snipers, 2 soldiers so players get the chance to play different classes one night a week. Team Fortress
