No idea who the 'band were' - I'm thinking they were just session musicians playing a theme someone who clearly has no idea about Star Trek wrote, and chosen by producers of the series who clearly don't have a clue either.

The Guy singing it is Russel Watson. Anyone who bought the Musical Version of the War Of The Worlds live show DVD will have seen what an utter diva this guy is. If I could have got into the TV screen and punched the whinging twat I would have. But he did have a brain tumour removed recently so maybe I should cut him some slack.

Smallville is a brilliant series i started watching around a month ago, i reccomend you ALL check it out, its about Supermans young years and is so awesome!!
