got mine pro ordered on steam as part of the 4 pack.
Seeing as modern warfare 2 was a kick in the nuts for PC gamers, i'd like to at least play 1 good new game this year.

Fingers crossed this will be it, reviews so far seem promising.

but this may come as a kick in the nuts too.
It uses gamespy.... even on the steam version.

I just came back from a friend's house; I've been watching him play it on xbox 360 and its friggin awesome. It should be really good on PC as well.

Hey guys,

Yesterday we learned that a fraction of the PC copies of Borderlands were accidentally sold to consumers in some countries but that gamers could not activate their copies yet. Since we learned of this problem, we have been looking into the issue to find the best possible solution for everyone.

I'm going to be completely honest with you guys right now. It is not possible for us to move the planned release date of the game forward. We could not possibly get the games into stores worldwide and out for digital distribution any earlier than planned. Less than 1% of all copies were sold, and if we unlocked the game today, illegal versions would most likely appear on torrents by the evening. I am sure all of you want our PC launch to be as successful as possible, and we simply won't be able to manage that any earlier than already planned.

I want to apologize for those of you who have gotten the game ahead of our release date, and ask for your patience and understanding. The game will be ready in the US and Canada at midnight eastern standard time on Monday, October 26th, and internationally by Friday, October 30th.

any reason as to why America and Canada get a early release over Europe?

all they have done is made pirate copies available to euro's to try before they buy.. games should be released same day round the world its not that difficult

Just got my copy today, aparently the local Gamestop have been selling it since yesterday, even though I pre-ordered it and was told by the girl behind the counter that it would start selling on the 30th....

Seems fine, no problems so far except for having to go through the installation process twice for some reason...
Haven't tried online yet though as I have no friends on my new Gamespy account....

Ok, so AMERICA PWNS U. LOL LOL LOL LOL LOL
No, but seriously..everyone wants to know about the game, I don't get messages in game unless i shift+tab, and I missed a lot of you. My opinion so far is this.

#1 Menus SUCK-no mic menu at all...if your in options and get an invite, you just have to decline it to finish what u are doing...overall poorest menu I've seen in a game.

#2 Voice SUCKS-not push to talk, so every cough sneeze and w/e else u are doing is heard. I was playing in vent, but if you talk 2 loud there is a serious echo.

#3 Its an RPG-lots of "quests"-I've never been a fan, but mixing it with FPS is kind of cool. Leveling turns into your main goal, and I never thought I would be one of those ppl.

#4 Gfx are odd art style and takes some time to get used to.

#5 Weapons KICK ASS-there are almost too many of them and pretty easy to get-there is money and other shit EVERYWHERE (I have the hottest pistol in the game already)

#6 LVLing-Its gonna suck when I play with yall, cause I'm already PRO and u are n00b

#8 Classes-I like that the classes have different abilities (I build sentry guns with BUILT IN DISPENSERS!!!!)

#9 Gameplay-the game plays well. I have had some trouble connecting to servers, but once you are in the game runs smooth and the controls are the same as any other for the most part.

Overall, I think this game has loads of potential. I enjoy it more each time I play. I wouldn't give it an A just yet, but I've heard it just gets better...we will see. Lots more to be said about this game, but Ive got to let you find some things out for yourself. ADD ME and consider playing something other than soldier or siren...there just might be a sweet gun in it for you.
