BP has lied, and is still not forthcoming with information that we need to fix this. BP had no plan B for if and when something like this occurred. Transparency is what we want, but have yet to receive. We had to use congress just to get the live feed. We've had to use congress to find out how much oil is escaping, we have had to use congress to find out what the effects of dispersant are, and with every answer came a lie. We know now we cannot trust BP, and have our own government agencies testing, monitoring, and devising solutions for this problem. All with MY country's taxpayer money. A company that is willing to let entire ecosystems and economies die because of a simple lack of preparedness, and then lie about it-is not worth your support.

It's a large multinational company that also happens to be an oil company, the default position should be to distrust them. If your potentially risking your coastlines the agencies responsible for protecting those coastlines should have a stringent oversight system in place to make sure the companies (that more than likely don't give a shite) are kept in line. Don't play with the big boys if you can't handle them. Sadly all over the world it seems big multinationals call the shots and govs get paid off or 'lobbied' and locals get shafted.

Although I have to say up to this I've been giving them the benefit of the doubt, cock ups can happen butthis article is interesting. It seems people are being afflicted by selective amnesia preceded by a bout of ignorance.
Who's this Bloke guy?

BP is already a felon, has a probation officer. http://current.com/1ck604c" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
The problem is that BP owns all of the technology, equipment, and data-and doesn't want to share. Cleaning up oil spills is big business too.
Governments should naturally get involved, but to what extent? Do we want government running the private sector?

You better start boycotting all oil companies then dharma, None of them have a plan B for this shit...
thats the problem. If one of them did they would have stepped up with the solution by now.

Its not just BP thats the problem. its the industry. something like this was inevitable.
