Mumble information
Mumble information
Califax asked me to sort out the mumble
So here we go, first of all download mumble on this website:
Download: http://sourceforge.net/projects/mumble/" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
** Also check out this post on page 2 (edited by BBloke)
When you open mumble, you should get this screen, but then empty ofc
http://nl.tinypic.com/view.php?pic=2ntxvyp&s=5" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
After that you press on "add new..."
you should get this
http://nl.tinypic.com/view.php?pic=2mhez2s&s=5" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
Type in
Servername: Fb 1.2 (doesnt rlly mather)
Adress: fakkelbrigade.eu
Port: 64738
Username: your name
Press on "ok"
Now connect to the server
because it is your first login to that server, it will ask you a password which is "thebrigade"
After you did this, you should get into the server
which will give you the following image (the layout will be different, as im using a hud. it will be something with white if i remember right)
http://nl.tinypic.com/view.php?pic=1563a6c&s=5" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
After that you join the channel "TEMP LOAN CHANNEL E" (double press on it)
http://nl.tinypic.com/view.php?pic=2dc8w8p&s=5" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
For the people who made it till here congrats!
now we have to sort your settings out
go to "configure" and press on "settings"
make sure "advanced" is ticked (at the bottem)
then go to audio input -> transmission -> transmit -> push to talk
after that go to "shortcuts"
press on "add"
and get a shortcut for "push-to-talk", bind a key for that
in the end it will look like this
http://nl.tinypic.com/view.php?pic=2yzdgt5&s=5" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
you will probably dont have mute self and deafen self
only the first button you will have.
Cheers Voiz

Re: Mumble information
Is there a way to record mumble speak with the gameplay? Or will it have to be recorded separately and thrown in later?
I'm sure that we'll want to have both together for learning and lolz.
Also, what's the advantage to using mumble over the in-game voice setup?
Clearer? Less lag? Open mic instead of push-to-talk?

Re: Mumble information
you can be heard when you're dead and there is a lot less lag
Re: Mumble information
Open mics is a no go!indivisible wrote:Open mic instead of push-to-talk?
Re: Mumble information
Mumble has both open and push-to-talk (but please use PTT, please).
It has less lag I hear. It also is far clearer than ingame with everyone I've heard on it so far and yeah you can talk to your team while dead. (You can set a server setting to allow this anyway but not sure if ETF2L will have that set or what).

Re: Mumble information
but then again, everyone joining the game has to use it and that's maybe hard to accomplish
