Server stat reset

Just wanted to ask if you plan a stat reset. Or do you do one periodically? It would be easier for newcomers to get on top. Also, if you would do a reset every month or two month, you could give the title for the best player of given timeperiod.

(BTW if I leave the server unannounced, just suspect girlfriend aggro ^^)

yeah, we threw this idea about a while back, were thinking of a reset every month or two, there's a thread somewhere, just havent acted on it. Yet.

tbh, the way the stats are geared, it's easier for newcomers to climb the ranks

Imagine this : ALL players listed on Festerstats are substracted 5000points.
A newcomer will advance nearly even quick to lets say place 10 as if the situation now is.
Just because points are calculated relatively.
It still keeps depending on when you play(#players),how frequent and who is playing on the server.
If all top50 players are taking a 2-weeks holiday, you will hardly advance

well im new to festers and are ranked 11 at the time so its not that hard to advance sens i manage to do it

Tracking 5,854 players (+39 new players last 24h) with 833,454 kills and 63,134 headshots (7.57%) on 1 servers

I'd love to see what percentage of those kills are made on mashup night. It's either going to be very high because we are all wrecked and get owned, or very low because none of us are capable of pointing straight to shoot!

I'm all for resetting the HLStats regularly, but I hope that won't affect the server stats on the main server page.

I think it would be a shame to get rid of these, more for the time played stats than anything else!

E.G. - Jase has nearly clocked up 480 hours!
That's like 20 full days, or if we assume an 8 hr working day, that's 60 days, which is 12 weeks!
