But I think that is a silly idea. We should be able to win matches because we are a good team, not because we have an unfair advantage knowing an obscure map. If we get beaten it's cos we suck.

I'm sure that the maps that are to be played are known to opponents, match organisers should be aware of them?

Perhaps it's my own fault for not looking into it, but initially I thought that it would be a two map match, our choice and their choice...then when the discussion turned to 2fort tactics I thought it was a one map match, and us being newbies got preference. Only finding out on the day that we were playing two maps and only on the loading screen of the second map finding out what it was sucked to be honest. Arent the match maps posted/communicated somewhere on the ESL site?

I'm guessing for the next match we will be clear on which maps will be played, both our choice and the opponents. If the map choices are left as a surprise for the opponents, well that's a shitty league, imo, and I dunno if it's something I/we should be taking part in. Unless the maps are a selection from a closed list.

Consider, even if we do have an oddball NCA friendly map, which our opponents are aware of and can practice on, and we still get beaten...how bad would we be?? No excuses then, ey?

Also, the enemy can just refuse to play the map.
