FESTERS PLACE

Thanks to Del, Rurairo and others for helping me reset my server.

Had a few teething troubles which I thought were related to the new router. Turns out it's down to sv_allow_lobby_connect_only 0 not being set.

I also managed to test my connectivity to other servers but found that I can host locally and the people in the lobby will follow and the game will work.

The last stage was to test search keys: sv_search_key.

My server is set to "bbloke" so I set my L4D game to the same and search for a game and I ended up on my own server.. absolutely seet.

I've also set the steam group to Festers so it should show up when the game is run if my server is up.

I for one have been very much neglecting TF2 because of L4D. That shall be rectified in tonioghts mashup

I too have been playing a fair bit of L4D recently, but will be ont he mashup this evening too!

Of course, if anyone wants to take a break and go zombie-ing, I'll happily join them

and here i havent been playing just casue of all the damn scouts and there many ways of pissing me off

If you want to try an ensure you end up on one of the servers when you are the lobby leader then bring up the console and type

sv_search_key bbloke

or

sv_search_key Festers

not sure if

sv_search_key bbloke, Festers

works.
