Why can't people just say hello in the offical thread?

All these new threads hurt my head.

official thread?

I'm already bored with topic names always containing only 'Hello', and I don't like looking at the Author column to find out who's introducing him/herself, so in my opinion let them just be conceited.

It's actually an act of humility.
Why start a new thread to say hello to a bunch of people you kinda just met and don't really know you.... when you first arrive at the forums you probably don't notice that there even is an official thread, so you just piggy back off of someone else's thread to say hello because you thought you would be kind and drop by for a second (or because some else pointed you to the forums and asked you to).

where is this official thread I hear so much about?

Okay right, but the main point of SAY HELLO should be introducing yourself. But when you do that, you usually say hello anyway. I can't help the humility issues thought...

the intodrucing failed, many people that come on the forums these days are just saying hello instead of intodrucing tzhemselves....

so that failse and usualy i ignore anyone that i dont know and mostly the people that just say "hello" and nothing else...

That is true.

I do see a lot of, "Hello" threads. That when I open it up says, "Hi, I'm new."

I just feel if we had an official thread where people introduced themselves (not just say hello), not only would it be good for us, but at the same time, said introducee could look upon the previous introductions and learn about Fester's members that have come before him.
