I hate most of the crap stuff that comes along with facebook, but I'd agree with Johnimus, I've kept contact with people I else wouldn't have. Facebook is shit as are all of the other social networking sites.
They are mostly full of narcissistic people who think we really give a shit about the trivia that is their lives.
However I have found two uses for it.
1. Organizing event's with mates.
2. Using it in the dating game. It can be used in quite a few different ways but I mainly use it in one real way, if I meet a girl who I am struggling to get a number off I tell her to add me on facebook and then I can contact her back through it. If this doesn't work, it doesn't matter she just gets to see all of my pic's of me hanging out with other cool people.
Social networking is the biggest load of self indulgent bollocks I have ever seen.
