2fort might be balanced but its boring as fuck. I even prefer 2fort classic...

But having said that the reason is probably I played 2fort to death when the game first came out.

I don't see anything taking over just yet to be honest. Just look at all the Nintendo, Xbox , playstation controllers there has been over the years, and still none are as good as the mouse for rts fps etc...
