still i do have some tictacs tips that may be usefull for you highlanders.
Classes
medic:
as a medic you can shout "i am fully charged" when your not charged at all.
use this to you advantage if theres a group of enemys nearby.
shout it once so they will hear it...if they have no uber, they wil not attack very soon.
as a medic, answer with medic shout if people scream for a medic. they know now where to find you.
Stay behind teammates and don't run forward to fast..make sure your practically not in sight of enemy's unless you are ubered.
as a medic, shout medic sometimes...teammates nearby will answer, and/or come to you.
this prevents you from running into enemy's yoursellf.
uber more then one person, this gives you alott advantage...if you practice this you can make sure you keep both alive.
the enemy team has it alott harder to try killing 2 ubered people.
soldier:
do not try to run off on your own...this is simply not gonna work. staying together with at least 1 or 2 others will give you advantage when you jump up to kill enemy's.
try to work together with a scout, let the scout be bate for incoming attack.
Heavy:
Dont stand still!!
not perse for headshots...a spy will have you down in no time and perhabs even the medic.
look around, spy check and protect your medic at all cost.
ask a pyro to spy check for you and you will not be suprised by a spy.
Scout:
as your the fastest on your team, that has multiple advantages.
If they sticky the door...you will have to sacrafice for the rest of the team to push out.
if you are able to get on a control point faster then the enemy scout, do it!
it will take more time to get the enemy team to recapture the point.
also getting behind enemy lines to kill a med works pretty well..know that your strategy is of big importance of the match.
get in and out is mainly the best option.
pyro:
your job is to protect your medic and heavy against spy's and ofcourse reflect everything away from your teammates.
realise your teammates will die from fire quickly, so blow them out asap!
do not be a hero and wonder off alone...even tho your a good pyro, your the strongest when you are just in front of team members.
spy:
as i dont play spy much i do not have much tips here.
a thing wich woks very good is to create chaos and confusion.
disguise as a soldier of your own team for instance...run away...and people wil follow thinking of an soldier as an enemy.
you have to spent more time in the enemy base then in your own, creating confusion and chaos behind enemy lines.
make sure they are not ready for your team to come in.
demoman:
use your stickys for defending everything, but make sure your sticky's are hard to find.
make sure you always place some stickys if possible around your heavy medic and sentry gun.
this will prevent you being to late for a spy's actions if you spot him.
sniper:
alott of snipers stand still and be bate for a spy.
be an attacking sniper and not only will you get way more important kills, you will actually help your team pushing forward.
try to talk with your teammates about where they want your help as keeping enemy's away from approaching your base.
engie:
ofcourse as an engie your very important.
you must keep your teammates full of health and full with ammo.
this along with a teleporter can be much more important then building a sentry gun.
leave your sentry at lvl1 to support your teammates and build your teleporter and dispenser.
when the enemy team knows where your sentry gun is...move it!
when your enemy team will be suprised by it's new location your team can create an advantage when they come in ubered.
Overall
Talk with your team before matches...talking about strategy makes your teammates know what you are doing.
Make sure your team knows what to do when you shout something short on mumble, let other people speak on mumble aswell.
Do not shout if other ppl talk, that doesnt work.
try to use your class to say stuff to...and explain your team before your match what you expect your teammates to do if you shout it.
commuciation is key..always let people know youre dead, even when you think its not important.
dont ask where your medic is...use your shout for medic button and make sure your medic uses it to if youre on a larger distance.
look around more then you used to.
Make sure you do not leave or pass by a room before knowing for sure there isn't still an enemy there.
look everywhere thus also behind you often enough to see everything going on as much as possible
Regroup regroup regroup...
it isn't called team fortress for no reason.
make sure you are with a group always....never ever go in alone, unless you are a spy or scout.
If your spy says "sentry down" or the scout says "medic down" do something with that information!
This is the best time to attack! make sure you will be ready for those moments, together with pushing forward if you have an uber.
Some tips are mainly to create confusion in the enemy team, bluffing can help your team create momentum to attack or defend.
These tips will never make you win but can make your strategy alott stronger if you are in shitty situations.
