Seriously though, if you stop at the middle point you're bound to lose it. Gotta push the spire and keep the pressure on before the other side can regroup propely.

True that. It can be hard to call sometimes though. Push the spire when you're not ready and you can easily easily loose the mid.

I call it caps and line becuase it is not mainly the defence. The line is our safe spot. And the caps are our offensive guys or our iritating naggers.
The line doesn't neccesary defend the points as it can be moved away to support our fronts.
