We are all going to have to record demo's of our matches! Those will be the rules!

ETF2L can request a demo of your match as a random sample, or when you are being aquised of cheating.

These demo's are your and our defence! If you cannot produce them, you (+ maybe the team) will be punished and/or banned from competition.



Now! I hope to have scared you enough, there is an easy solution. I found a plugin that you place in your tf-folder, which automaticly starts recording when a tournament mode is enabled on the server. You dont have to do anything for it. Tested it myself yesterday and works like a charm.

So HERE it is. Just download and read the readme file where to put the files.

Set to annoucement. Had a little permission problem on this forum but it's been cured now!

i shall think of a legit excuse and use it mahaha

Practise yesterday showed that only 3 people had installed this plugin.

Sorry, my bad. Announcment of recording were only in team-chat, so only 3 people in my team had it running...

How was it on your side MuG?

There was 3 on BOF II as well, IIRC.

My problem with it is that I play TF2 on a Windows partition on a Macbook, therefore if I record demos every time we play in Highlander mode, then I run out of disk space pretty quickly. I'd much rather just record the demo when necessary.

All demo's i recorded yesterday, from the first tournament match to the last at 1 o'clock were combined about 60Mb...

Yes demos are pretty small, whats big is turning them into video, which you dont need to
