Highlander Server
Re: Highlander Server
As we noticed saturday, maybe it is wise to password protect the server when we are practising. There was one guy in spec who took on the BoF| sign infront of his name and started to shout that people without the sign should make room for him.
Re: Highlander Server
we have admin by default almost allways (look at the 14 players .. ) so it shouldnt b a prob as it wasnt with him
i do think admins should orgenise between themselves making sure we have one on practice at all times - but thats up to u guys
hlstats can b applied but with a diferent table from the main server ?
it will allow us noticing in which parts and what maps we do better

I like this idea.Anubis wrote:hlstats can b applied but with a diferent table from the main server ?

But only as long as it doesn't reveal how bad I actually am!
Re: Highlander Server
Some new admin options have been added to the server:
Turn on ETF2L settings - Sets alltalk to 0 and password to something
Turn Off ETF2L settings - Sets alltalk to 1 and set password to nothing.
Set Password On - Sets the server password but leaves the rest of the settings as is
Set Password Off - reverses the above.
Set Alltalk off
Set Alltalk on
Let me know if they don't work and I'll have a look at it.

Re: Highlander Server
Static password or new one chosen by admin every time?
Re: Highlander Server
Static. Just needs to be switched on/off as needed. I'm sure password will be PM'd shortly.

Thanks BBloke.
As always you're a hero of a man for all the time you give!

Re: Highlander Server
Mug, Cettu and I have done a little testing. The settings seem sound but there is one quibble.
When playing CP/PL stopwatch map there is no round score given to the winner. ie. You get a point for capping each point but you don't get a round score for winning the map (finishing faster). What is wrong with the settings ?

Re: Highlander Server
I think that is how it's meant to work Bloke, instead of for example 2 caps on dustbowl being "a round", the 3 stages are one unit of 6 caps. The map is deemed to be over when both teams have played since they both get to attack/defend, sometimes the teams are then switched and they do it again so that the second team is the one setting the time to beat instead of the first but sometimes not.
So I don't think it's actually broken but I could be wrong!
