Minecraft being java might put a lot of strain on the tf2 side of things. It tends to eat a fair amount of ram. although I am playing in a world that is almost 100mb so I've been doing a lot of exploring

wouldn't say no to a little mc, been trying to get it working server side myself. complications due to a very closed network ( \o/ )

Right now multi is alright, once survival multi hits it should be amazing.
I totally to make holes in peoples forts for creepers.

Take a look at:

Misconfigured router (activate port forwarding)
Misconfigured software firewall (blocking incoming ports for minecraft server)
Anti virus software playing up. Uninstall, reboot, reinstall (AVG was a bugger for this if you updated it from one version to another)

I'm running 1 Minecraft server and I can confirm it eats your ram

tbh its worse than windows vista.

Quadcore 4GB RAM - It sits around 5%cpu and 3.50GB Ram used.

Thats just 2 minecraft servers lol

If i was running all tf2 servers I could probably fit 15-20 on that ram.

(its due for another 4gb ram anyway luckly flipping minecraft :/ )
