My Windows 7 installation issues

Post by BBloke » Wed Feb 24, 2010 12:28 am

Not that it matters but my old gaming rig could run Win 7 RC1 whitout a hitch but never installed the later RC's or final version. Through struck of luck it turned out it didn't like my ram in dual channel mode. I just changed it over to see what happened and it installed like a dream.

I know there's no stock in windows rating but my E6600 CPU with HD 3870 scored 7.0 (excluding hdd at 5.3) where as my i5 scored 7.3 (hdd excluded).

Indeed it does, windows doesnt see the difference, just sees q6600 and ddr2-800 ram
Silly me for thinking the microsft tool was actually getting these numbers from the performance of my hardware :P
