Nokia are a dying breed. The OS is archaic at best and has been trumped even by Samsung, inventor of cheap phones. Sony Ericsson are the way to go for old candy phones methinks, but I'd piss my pants just to get a white HTC Hero... They just look absolutely gorgeous. Makes the iPhone look horribly plain my comparison, of which I think I'll be inheriting my Dad's iPhone 3G in a couple months time.

Samsung phone software sucks ballz. Was a big part in the instability of my previous windows install. The phone comms drivers were freaking out! Bastids!
The samsung phone itself is pretty good but steer clear of the shitty bug-ridden software

have to agree with Mug since i owned both a Samsung and a Sony and a Sharp and a HTC and Jesus lord knows how many more.. yes they all look lovely have nice features.. but the samsung as mug said was buggy the sony feel apart after a minor fall off a table.. Sharp was a great phone (had 2 different models a friend is still using one of them) but just died along with the company and HTC well i mentioned that all ready.. the worst thing any mobile can do is let you down and since i am on the phone the best part of 3 hours a day constant use i want a phone that works  my only major problem with Nokia at the minute is there phones slow down if you have alot of texts or images stored on the phone memory.. other than that faultless i think it froze once a few months back but i was messing with Garmin maps for the GPS at the time

anyway i think i :HJ: this thread enough :D

I have long dreamed of googling on the go, checking my email whenever etc.

The phone is ordered, just waiting now.

Used to be a Siemens M-series fan but switched to SE C702 now, don't think I'll ever get a Touch- and/or Smartphone... All I need is something robust with text and tel that will actually survive two years of abuse.
I mean, it's all windy stairs. I'm not being funny.

Maybe all the phone stuff could be moved(by some kind webmod ) out of this thread and stuck in a new 1 titled "Phone gripes and the like" or something like that

Yeah i kinda hijacked this thread,
I did get the new phone only to lose my job the day after i got it.
but i can do all kinds of crazy stuff on it, I even found a source server admin tools app, so that an admin could kick or ban people from the server, from their phone whereever they are.
