music

Post by Anubis » Tue May 05, 2009 5:20 pm

since it seems this community just gets closer , and tho there is a habbits section , i thought about maybe a music section ?

since im getting to know some of u more , and some really feels like "good friends " tho never meet and im barely 3 months here ? (at festers , in the forums arround 2 months less .. ) , one of the intresting things is favorit music ?

being a psy lover (psychedelic trance to most of its genres ) and one that "based" in the corestone of trance spreading over the net , i can contribute with adding the new 0-days releases of psy/house/techno/trance/ambient/lo-fi/electro stuff (tho i have some connection to the 0-days of rock and so .... ) since i allready gets them - having a dc hub (ask if u want to know more :) ) .

So I have no idea what psychedelic trance is, but I do likes me some hippie psychedelic rock!

Here's 2 of my favourites:

Eight Miles High by The Byrds

And

White Rabbit by Jefferson Airplane

Ah, I can just picture those filthy hippies, turning on, tuning in and dropping out, while listening to these on their record players.
Good times, I imagine!

Anubis, by any chance could you post some prime examples of psychedelic trance so I can give them a listen?

i rarely go on u-tube :)
i can give u some albums name if u'd like to search

VA_-_Goa_Vol._30-2CD-2009-gEm
VA_-_Goa_Neo_Full_On_And_Progressive_Trance_Vol_6-2CD-2009-UPE
VA_-_VuuV_Festival_Vol._2-2CD-2009-gEm

most progressive psy (my favorit) but some full on's are there as well :)

Psychedelic = few genres that came from first "trance " music (1988-2000) , b4 we had "morning" and "night" music , then progressive psy , progressive house , elctro , full on , dark ...

genres are usually define by bpm (bit per minute) vocals , bass lines , kicks ... its kinda hard to explain :)

Ah don't worry about baffling me with your bpm and synth sounds, in that I am quite well versed.
Used to be big into French House.

Couldn't agree more. the only thing I'm lacking is some hammond organ stuff (digs out red Dwarf DVD's to see if he can spot Rimmers record collection)
