Starting now, those who pre-order L4D2 via Steam will receive early access to the Left 4 Dead 2 demo (currently targeted for October 27) plus an exclusive in-game item - the American baseball bat, one of the 10 new melee weapons included in the game.

In addition, Steam is offering a 10% savings to those who pre-order.

To be honest. I feel sort of pissed off by their pre-order pricing tiers. The US and UK are paying roughly the same, which can be considered fair, however, doesn't necessarily mean that it's a good deal.

US L4D2 Pre-Purchase: $44.99 / 30.84€
UK L4D2 Pre-Purchase: £26.99 / 29.45€

Now, what is going on in the EU here?

EU
Tier 1 Pre-Purchase: 44,99€ (Germany, France, Netherlands, Denmark, Finland, Sweden, Ireland etc..)
Tier 2 Pre-Purchase: 34,19€ (Poland, Norway, Italy, Spain, Lithuania etc...)

It's cheaper to import the game from the UK or US for people living in the Tier 1 region.
