Re: Pre order L4D2 now

To be honest. I feel sort of pissed off by their pre-order pricing tiers. The US and UK are paying roughly the same, which can be considered fair, however, doesn't necessarily mean that it's a good deal. US L4D2 Pre-Purchase: $44.99 / 30.84€ UK L4D2 Pre-Purchase: £26.99 / 29.45€ Now, what is going o...

Re: Saints Row 2, 5 quid

be warned that Saint's Row 2 on PC is a bad port. This shows itself in stutter and choppy fps whenever the streaming engine has to load new areas. This won't improve even if you have a beast of a machine, because it streams the areas straight from the hdd... Basically, be prepared that driving aroun...

Re: other servers banning people who have halos

well, it just shows that "random loot" brings out the worst in people. This is not even stuff that gives one even the slightest ingame advantage. Imagine, if there were items that actually had any impact on gameplay. Valve is actually pretty level headed about the wide spread usage of a third party ...

Re: Backpack Examiner

First of all, i believe that these kind of weapons are comparable to the various server side modifications out there. I sincerely doubt that anyone of us will see them "in the wild", if not for some PR (valve employee going to public servers and being obvious about it) . Balance in FPS is usually ac...

Hm. I find it hard to believe people would fall for this.

Regardless, it's always good to know about this kind of stuff. Thanks BBloke.

Re: Guild Wars 2

The leveling system of Guild Wars is fairly good. The player is meant to beat the later challenges with the right set of skills on his bar, rather than being just higher level than the npc critters. Arenanet did a good job with the trailer. There is lots of artwork, but also a good amount of actual ...

Re: DING DING, NEXT TF2 UPDATE

Sandman - The negative attribute has changed from "no double jump" to "-30 max health". This is a good example how to effectively kill a fun , very situational and often useless weapon. For good measure - Let's take away that other purpose it served, too ! - Übercharged players can no longer be stun...
